BODYWORK SESSIONS
I offer deep tissue, incredibly healing bodywork. Each session is unique- combining a wide array of different modalities and approaches, inspired and supported by my extensive knowledge and experience as a Massage Therapist and a Yoga Teacher. While most therapists will provide a one-hour session, my experience has proven that this is simply not enough time for you to truly receive the results you deserve and work with the entire body. I provide 90-minute, two-hour and even two and a half hour sessions, so that I can become more familiar with your unique body and needs, better focus on areas that could use more attention, and allow space for the healing process without being “rushed”.
If this will be our first bodywork session together, from your computer please be sure to download, print and fill out the required paperwork before you arrive, by selecting this link: Bodywork Intake Form.
Please note- AT THIS TIME I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. My schedule for Bodywork is full- if you would like to be placed on the waiting list or are interested in Healing Retreats and Adventures, please contact me through my Contact Page, I would love to connect with you. Therapeutic Deep Tissue session
This type of bodywork is designed around individual client needs and desires. I work on both physical and energetic levels. Every session will be different, unique to the individual, and the techniques used will vary based on what the body calls for and how it responds. My bodywork often incorporates some elements of yoga, meditative breath, acupressure, and stretching and working along energy lines. It is an interactive process between the client and myself, connecting with breath, movement and intention. This immersive experience works to reduce pain and discomfort, encourage healthy alignment in body and mind, promote deep relaxation and well-being, and create space and permission to completely let go.
Prenatal session
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. Bolsters and pillows are used to create supported side-lying and semi-reclined positions to allow for a safe and comprehensive session. This gentle and holistic approach encourages healthy function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. Prenatal massage works to ease the discomfort associated with pregnancy, to help the mother-to-be prepare for labor and give her nurturing emotional support. I have a very special love for Pregnancy Massage, as I attended massage school while pregnant with my first child. I was becoming a therapist and Mom at the same time, and it was pretty magical!
